New golfers get in some match experience

The Cougars posted a huge victory over rival Miramonte at Moraga Country Club, to keep alive the team's chances of playing in the coveted NCS Tournament of Champions. Sophomore Baron Szeto led the way with a sizzling one under par 34.  Jacob Ryerson followed with a very solid 40, followed by John Lagomarsino with a 42.   Campo won 211 to 214!

The Cougars followed that victory with an easy non-league win over Concord at home at Moraga Country Club. Sophomore Austin Walker topped the Campo team with a solid 40 to capture medalist honors. Joey Schmidt followed with a well-done 42. Joe Marinai and Andrew Pan rounded out the scoring with 44's.

Earlier in the week, a non-league match vs. Piedmont at its home course, Claremont Country Club, proved to be trouble for the Cougars the first day back from Spring Break. John Lagomarsino provided one of the few highlights in the loss with a 41, followed by Junior Jacob Ryerson, who posted a solid 43.

Before Spring Break, Campo's newer golfers joined with some vets to play Northgate at Boundary Oak in a match that did not count in the DAL league standings.  Junior Lucas Nomura was the medalist with a solid 42.  Jack Walker followed in 3rd place.  Lucas Breul, Logan Godsey, Edward Lee and Dhilan Shah all got their first taste of competition on the Boundary Oak back nine.
