Dear Campo Swim Families,

The start date for “Purple Tier” sports, including Campo Swim, is tentatively set for February 1, pending final approval from DAL.  Accordingly, the plan is to start Campo Swim practice the week of February 1, the exact date TBD.  While many aspects of the 2021 season remain in flux, the following are known and some require timely parental action:

  • According to the guidelines from the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) athletes are limited to participating in one sport at a time.
  • If you have not done so already, complete your student’s Campo Sports Registration (also referred to as Athletic Clearance) now. All the information you need to complete this process can be found HERE.   All swimmers must have the Campo Sports Registration process completed and approved before they will be allowed to enter the pool for practice.
  • Campo Swim Registration, which is a separate process from Campo Sports Registration, will open this week.  Please stay tuned for updates and please complete your Campo Swim Registration as soon as possible after the platform opens.  Knowing how many swimmers will be participating in the 2021 season is critical to setting up safe practice cohorts and to making sure all families who want to participate in Campo Swim are receiving email updates via Team Unify.
  • Team Contributions will be significantly lower this year.  We hope to keep the suggested contribution to $40-$75 to cover costs such as coaches’ salaries, apparel, and an end of season competition in the event we are able to organize one.  Please stay tuned for more details regarding Team Contributions.
  • Speaking of Apparel, we will not require swimmers to purchase team suits this season.  All swimmers will, however, receive a Campo Swim cap and T-shirt.
  • Competitions can only take place when Contra Costa County is not under a stay at home order, so there are no meets currently scheduled.  Please know that your Campo Swim Coaches will be monitoring this situation closely and will work hard to provide competition opportunities when and if it can be done safely and in accordance to state and local regulations.

If you know of any potential swim families that are new to Campo, including freshman families, please feel free to forward this information on to them.

Thank you!.
