The California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) has provided an October, 2020 update to the '20-21 Sports calendar (see the link at the bottom of this announcement). 

Among other things, the October communication updates the start dates for Fall Sports as well as Boys and Girls Soccer (highlighted in RED below).

The official start dates for the Fall and Spring seasons are now:

Fall Sports:  Dec. 7, 2020          

• Football
• Cross Country
• Boys and Girls Volleyball
• Boys and Girls Water Polo
• Sideline Cheer
• Competition Cheer (year round sport, start date TBD)

Spring Sports:

       February 15th

• Boys and Girls Soccer
  
  March 8th
   
• Boys and Girls Tennis
• Swimming and Diving
• Wrestling
  
  March 15th
   
• Baseball
• Boys and Girls Basketball
• Boys and Girls Golf
• Boys and Girls Lacrosse
• Softball
• Track and Field       

As was highlighted in the original July, 2020 communication, the '20/21 Sports Year will be characterized by:

• Three seasons rolled into two seasons for the '20/21 school year (Fall and Spring)
• No reductions in the number of sports contests
• Full Section Championships
• Streamlined State Championships
• Summertime Rules extended to December, 2020
