We need to do more as a community and as a coaching staff to combat institutional racism.  As a basketball program we are committed to not being bystanders when it comes to racism.  We will work harder as coaches to do this through our actions, words are not enough.  We will listen to the black community to better educate ourselves and we will continue to educate our players on race to the best of our abilities, as they are the ones that can best impact future change.  It’s not just about caring about racism today, it’s about caring about it everyday going forward and as a basketball program we will fight this fight.
