Campolindo Men's Water Polo is a storied program built on tradition, focus, and achievement.  The program is one of the best in the nation, striving each year to be a top contender in our league, section, and state.  Numerous greats and successful collegiate stars have come out of the program including Olympian, Peter Varellas, and over 40 All-Americans.

In recent years, under the tenure of Head Coach Miles Price, the team has dominated the North Coast Section, with four championships since his return to the program in 2011.  Campo won NCS Championships in 2013, 2015, 2018, and 2019.

2017 was the 1st year of CIF finals.  Campolindo was 1 of 4 finalists in the first ever CIF NorCal Boys Water Polo Division 1 Championship Finals. 2018 was canceled due to smoke.

Peter Varellas is a 2002 graduate who competed in the 2008 and 2012 Olympic Games and is a Silver Medalist

Varsity Head Coach - Miles Price 

Miles graduated from Campolindo in 2005 as a two-time All-American. He went on to play four years at the University of Santa Barbara under head coach and three-time Olympian Wolf Wigo.  Miles started all four years, earning All-American honors in his senior year as well as finishing 14th on the all-time scoring list. Following his senior season, he played in Australia for the Victorian Tigers, leading the Tigers to their first Southern Cross Trophy. In the winter of 2012, he returned to play in the Australian Professional League, playing for the Cronulla Sharks. Following that, he played for Echeyde in the Spanish National League. Miles is currently the Varsity Men's Water Polo Coach at Campolindo High School (2011-present).  In 2013, Miles lead Campolindo to its first Men’s NCS Title. The Cougars have participated in the NCS Finals every year since 2013, winning four section titles and the Northern California State Championship in 2019.

Co-Head Coach - Anton Sapozhnikov

Anton graduated from Las Lomas HS in 2005 with All-American Honors, played club water polo at UCSB. Has been coaching at Campolindo HS since 2011. 

Assistant Coach - Eldad Hazor

Eldad Hazor has been associated with the sport of water polo locally and internationally for over 25 years. Eldad was a dominant player on the Cal water polo team throughout his tenure. He was selected by the All-American and All-Academic teams and led Cal in scoring as a senior and was second on the team in scoring as a Junior. In 2010, Eldad founded Eldads Water Polo which provides Dads Polo workouts, shooting clinics, specific goalie training, and more. In addition, Eldad coached the Lamorinda Water Polo Club 14 & Under Boys for 11 years. Currently, he is coaching the Lamorinda Water Polo Club 14 & Under Girls.

Varsity and Junior Varsity Coach - Yurii Hanley

Yurii Hanley played water polo for Miramonte High School where his team won the State Championship and North Coast Championship. He was a High School All-American water polo player. He played collegiately at the University of California Berkeley and was a member of NCAA Championship Teams. He coached Campolindo Water Polo Varsity and JV from 1995 to 2002 and was the co-founding director of Lamorinda Water Polo Club, where he also coached.

 Junior Varsity Head Coach - Darren Schroeder

Darren graduated from Miramonte High School in 1984 where he earned all-league honors in water polo as a member of the North Coast championship team. He walked on at Stanford where he effectively served as cannon fodder in practices for four seasons and two national championship teams. Refusing to 'turn the page', he player-coached for Penn's club team while completing his M.B.A., and he has continued to play club water polo until the present.
