A Campolindo alum, Pat played water polo at Fresno State before returning to his alma mater, where he served as varsity swim and water polo coach from 1990 to 1997. His history with the program runs deep: in 1995, as head coach of Concord Water Polo's 17-and-under team at the Junior Olympics in Orlando, Pat coached alongside Charles Richison, whose 13-and-under squad included a young Brodie Jasper, now Campo's head coach. That same trip sparked the conversation among local parents that eventually led to the bond measure that helped fund the high-caliber pools our teams train in today, including the Soda Center, named for the Soda Foundation, which covered most of the capital costs under the leadership of its Executive Director, Pat's mother, Judy Murphy.
